At this step, you will first see a section titled Most recent job title (box number 1) where you should enter your most recent job title. After that, the section Employment type (box number 2), meaning the type of work (full-time, part-time, freelance, etc.) and the section Most recent company (box number 3), meaning the company where you worked last, will appear. If you choose the Freelancer option, box number 3 will no longer be displayed for you. If you have just graduated or are still studying, you should click on the I’m a student option (box number 4). At the end, click on the Continue option (box number 5) to move to the next step.

Step 6 to sign up to join LinkedIn: Connect your phone number to the account

This option is included to increase the security, credibility and value of your LinkedIn account. If you don’t want to enter your phone number, just click on the Skip option (box number 1), but if you want your phone number to be connected to your account, enter your phone number in the Phone number field (box number 2) and click Send Code (box number 3).
