Step 2 to sign up to join LinkedIn: Go to the Join Now page

Step 3 to sign up to join LinkedIn: Enter your first name and last name

At this stage, you will see the following page, which has two sections to complete. In the first section, i.e. First Name (box no. 1), you should enter your first name and in the second section, i.e. Last Name (box no. 2), you should enter your last name.

After completing the available boxes, it is necessary to click on the Continue option (box number 3) until a page titled Verification returns to you. In this section it is enough to click on the Verify option so that your authenticating process as a human (Not a robot) take place.

Step 4 to sign up to join LinkedIn: Enter your geographic information

At this step, as you can see in the image below, LinkedIn asks you to enter your geographic information. This information will help you and companies to find the best and most suitable job opportunities. In the Country/Region field (box number 1) you should choose the country you live in and in the City/District field (box number 2) you should choose the city or province where you live (or the city where you want to work). After that, you click on Continue (box number 3) to go to the next step.

Step 5 to sign up to join LinkedIn: Enter your job information

This field is prepared to enter information about the job you are previously or currently engaged in. At this step, you will first see a section titled Most recent job title (box number 1) where you should enter your most recent job title. After that, the section Employment type (box number 2), meaning the type of work (full-time, part-time, freelance, etc.) and the section Most recent company (box number 3), meaning the company where you worked last, will appear. If you choose the Freelancer option, box number 3 will no longer be displayed for you. If you have just graduated or are still studying, you should click on the I’m a student option (box number 4). At the end, click on the Continue option (box number 5) to move to the next step.

Step 6 to sign up to join LinkedIn: Connect your phone number to the account

This option is included to increase the security, credibility and value of your LinkedIn account. If you don’t want to enter your phone number, just click on the Skip option (box number 1), but if you want your phone number to be connected to your account, enter your phone number in the Phone number field (box number 2) and click Send Code (box number 3). Enter your password on the page that opens and click the Submit button (box number 4) to send you a verification code.

Step 7 to sign up to join LinkedIn: Specify your employment status on LinkedIn

If you are not currently looking for a new job, click on Not Now option (box #1), but if you are looking for a new job, select Yes (box #2) to move to the next page.

On this page you see several parts. In the first part, Job titles (box #1), you must enter the job positions and titles you want. In the second part, which is Job locations (box number 2), you specify the cities where you want to work. Finally, select the Next button (box number 4) to be directed to the next step.

Step 8 to sign up to join LinkedIn: Download and install the LinkedIn application

There are two ways for you to install the LinkedIn app. In the first way, just scan the QR Code (box number 1) with your phone to be transferred to the installation page of the LinkedIn application. The second way is to select the “Text me a link instead” option (box number 2), which will send you a text message with the link to install the app. Finally, click on the next button (box number 3) to skip this step and go to the next step.
