Hello.
I have recently launched a YouTube channel and mostly try to publish short videos in the form of “YouTube Shorts”; But I’m not sure if YouTube pays for short videos or not?
Does anyone know about this issue and give me the correct information?
can YouTube shorts be monetized? Hello Nila! Yes, YouTube Shorts can be monetized. YouTube has recently introduced a monetization program for Shorts, which allows creators to earn money from their short-form videos.
To be eligible for monetization, your Shorts need to meet certain criteria, such as being original content and following YouTube’s community guidelines. Additionally, your channel needs to be part of the YouTube Partner Program (YPP) and meet the minimum eligibility requirements, such as having at least 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 watch hours in the past 12 months.
Once your channel is eligible, you can turn on monetization for your Shorts and earn money through advertising revenue. However, it’s important to note that the amount you earn will depend on factors such as the number of views and engagement on your videos, as well as the advertisers bidding on your content.
It’s also worth mentioning that YouTube’s monetization policies and requirements can change over time, so it’s a good idea to stay up to date with any changes and guidelines to ensure your content remains eligible for monetization.
I hope this helps answer your question!
